Many homes are without updated fuseboards and have insufficient protection at the board.  Renewing the fuseboard to one that includes RCD protection has a number of benefits, the most important being safety in your home.  Another regular issue we come across is a lack of earthing, which is paramount to any electrical installation and ensures correct operation of the RCD.

When selling a home in France, you will be required to have a diagnostic report carried out. The electrical section of the diagnostic report is only a visual assessment. Nothing is tested.  The diagnostic report is not a guarantee that the current installation is safe and adheres to French Normes. Faulty sockets, light switches and loose cabling can be identified, but nothing determines if the install is compliant. Walls and plaster boarding can often hide non-compliant cabling.
